Rules of the Forum

This Forum is a User-to-User support community for users of all ages. There is no MSI support to be found here. The moderators are not paid by MSI and do not work for MSI, we are users just like you. If you want direct support go to MSI-Support, >>MSI Support page<<

This is a moderated forum. English is the only language permitted.

Abusive comments about MSI or any forum member will not be allowed.

Fighting with members is not permitted. If you feel that a topic is getting into a heated discussion and may turn into a fight please refrain from adding fuel to the fire.

Swearing is not permitted, included using spaces, hyphens or other characters to bypass the automatic censoring.

This forum may not be used for commercial purposes. If you have equipment you wish to donate to another user you may post it in the "Everything Under the Sun" area.

If you have posted something that does not belong in a given area your post may be moved to the correct area by a moderator.

Messages dealing with downloading, uploading or copying of illegal or copyrighted material are not permitted and will be deleted.

Messages not conforming with the rules are either edited by a moderator or removed entirely.

Pictures or links to web sites dealing with any nudity, pornography, or subjects found offensive by forum members are not permitted and will be deleted.

No racial, sexual, age, or political remarks or declarations are allowed. In the "everything under the sun" (off topic) forum you may post jokes of the above nature, in the jokes thread, however if a moderator thinks the joke is over the line or gets complaints from users it may be removed.

User names must also conform to all of the rules. Names that do not conform may be deleteted or changed by a moderator.

If you see a user behaving badly, report it to a moderator, DO NOT take action yourself, that's considered bad behavior as well. Each post has a button in the lower right corner which can be used to do this.

Each forum has a group of topics that always stay at the top, called stickies. Before posting a question, read these topics as many problems can be solved this way.

Before posting a question, create a signature using the Profile button at the top of the screen, and then clicking the Edit Signature button. In this signature include all the components that make up your system:

-Motherboard type and model (MSI 865PE Neo2 FIS2R)
-Bios type and revision (AMI rev 1.9)
-CPU type and model (AMD Athlon FX-51)
-Memory name, model and quantity (Kingston KHX4000K2)
-Video card name and model plus drivers and version (MSI GeForce4 Ti4800SE)
-Power Supply name, model and the amp rating for the +3.3V, +5V and +12V lines plus any limitation on the +3.3/+5V combined watts. This information can be found on a sticker on the side of the supply.
-Hard Drives: Manufacturer, type and size and which IDE or SATA ports they are located on
-Optical Drives: Manufacturer and type and which IDE ports they are located on
-Operating system and service pack level

Do not hijack another persons topic. If you have a similar problem, start your own thread anyway. It gets to be very confusing and time consuming when reviewing previous steps in a thread that contains more than one topic in it.

If you are going to use a Graphics Signature, please keep it at max 400x200 pixels, otherwise will be removed.

Abuse of the forum or failure to follow the rules can result with your removal without warning. Failure to comply with warnings issued by a moderator will also result with your removal.

If you have a disagreement with a moderator, contact them by private message or email and attempt to resolve the situation. If you are unable to resolve the problem, contact the site administrator. Attacking a moderator openly in the forums will result with you being banned.
