PR400 laptop port replicator
« on: 27-February-09, 15:52:46 »

Hey people.
I just bought a pr400 laptop and now i would like to get the port replicator that's designed for it.
But apparently it's not obtainable, or I just plain suck.

Anyone know where to get a hold of one, or can point me to the number/name of the port replicator?

Much appreciated  :hat tip:

Also known as docking station.

Ah ok thanks Longo, but I never seen any shown on the MSI pages nor do they have a docking plug as far as I know.

there's a big giant docking station plug on the back of mine.
and on the MSI page for the laptop you can see the docking station

Thanks for the suggestion about the USB based port replicators. I just think it's.... well it's kind of crappy if I can't get the port replicator that's advertised. Kinda goes against what I bought it for.

* Port replicator function is optional.

Contact your reseller who sold you the notebook and see if they can obtain this for you. Or else contact MSI.

I already contacted my reseller. they said it was out of stock.

Thanks for the suggestion about contacting MSI... kinda feel dumb now, when I hadn't tried that before. :D

I appreciate the time you took to look into this for me.

Well, I still think that USB based docking stations are far more practical - you can change your laptop later and still use the device. But it's up to you.
