Is SCM installed? http://global.msi.eu/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=utility&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1474

Did you use Fn+F6?

As Stu states, did you try another program like Skype, MSNM?  The only version of Q-face I see is for XP 32bit.

Did you install the SCM(System Control Manager) utility.  Here, http://global.msi.eu/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=utility&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1474 , is the SCM utility for the U100.

Did you hold down the Fn key and then, while still holding down the Fn key, press the F6 key to turn on the Webcam?

I don't know how to make my 3rd paragraph clearer except to explain that MSNM is MSN messenger.
