Hello,

Can anyone help me regarding a G31M3  7528 VER: 1.1  
I flashed my Bios with the G31M3-F bios update. Afterwards i realised that its a different version motherboard as mine doesnt have -F after, Dont know how that stipped past me must of been sleeping when i downloaded the bios. anyway on the MSI website none of the products match mine.
Can anyone tell me which one is the correct one to use as since the update ive been getting a BsoD when i shutdown and my computer goes into a restart and also i have noticed that when i copy via USB its extremely slow.

what was your BIOS version before the update? ect your old bios version?
and to what BIOS version you flashed your board?

I was stupid and didnt take note of that. i know i really only have myself to blame for this problem as i was rushing. Doesnt MSI have a way to find out which was the orginal version.

look over the small green sticker, over the BIOS chip.
The shipped BIOS version is written there.

I have the exact same motherboard and was going to do the same update before I saw your failure with the -F BIOS. I may be able to help though.

The label on the Flash IC reads:

Code: [Select]

A7528
INS320
At boot-up in the top left corner:

Code: [Select]

A7528IMS V3.2 072208
I may be able to give you a ROM dump if it's not against the Copyright rules on the forum.

Also can anyone find this M/B on the main site? All I can see are the -F and -L(S) models. It's almost as if the plain G31M3 does not exist. I really need to update it because it only maps 3GB of RAM even for 64 bit Linux and when I tried Win7 64 any process that updates the display would take 100% of a core (Vista 32 and Linux 64 seems fine with it).

"-F" is ommited. G31M3-F or G31M3 means the same board
