DooGie, if you have found a definite bug that is apparant in a BIOS version, and you can readily reproduce it, then MSI needs to be advised to address that in the next BIOS release. Thats the only way. >>How to contact MSI.<<
I reported the issue to MSI support on January 12th and got a reply which did not prove useful.
"Dear Sir/Madam:
Thank you for contacting MSI Technical Support.
Regarding your concern, please refer to the following procedure to verify:
1. Please unplug the power-cord and clear CMOS (How to clear CMOS. Please refer to the manual-->Hardware setup-->Jumpers-->Clear CMOS jumper for how to clear CMOS). Then enter BIOS setting,choose F1 when by pressing the “Delete" key during POST, Load Optimized Defaults and save&exit, and then check. "
I reported back to them that I had cleared the cmos but the problem still existed. I've heard no more from them since that.
I decided to flash back to bios version 1.12 (1c) and I've had no problems since so I'll just stick with that version.
