Windpad 110W GPS module

Dears,

Please, could anyone help me to get sense of this device's GPS????

I have checked and found "Broadcom GPS Location Sensor" in Control Panel sensors' tab and can check/uncheck the tick behind sensors. But nothing happens and nothing is shown in Device Manager under the Sensors Tab (Only Light Sensor).... Also there are GPS application files in C:\Program Files\Broadcom\GPS but missing GPS in O-Easy gadgets.

So is there really GPS sensor inside????

If your answer will be my device is missing GPS card-module inside and have purchased wrong model (I do really want GPS and especially bought this nice slate pc for this option), please kindly advise what can I do to make GPS work,
how can I find suitable GPS card/module, where to buy, and how put it into my device...????...

I really loved it and do not want to be dissatisfied with GPS issue....

Looking forward to hear good news for me (to found out my device is OK with GPS and the problem is only inside me ;)

I recently purchased the Windpad 110W-14US and it does indeed have the Broadcom GPS chip inside. Most programs will access it via the virtual COM port. To see which COM port to use, look in Control Panel->System->Device Manager->Ports(COM & LPT).

[Note- I had to change my GPS to a higher COM port because I was getting an 'Access Denied' error on COM3. To do this open the COM port in Device Manager and click advanced. Change the port to COM5 or higher, click OK and restart the PC.]

If you want to test it out the free program GPSMonitor works well. (Google for it.)

Unfortunately my one is missing GPS module....

Now trying to find solutions how to attach sim-slot and add WWAN (+GPS) module and antenna there....
But there is no information anywhere :( ....

Is there anyone who made this before? ??????

Please, kindly share your experience...
