Z68A-GD55 G3 --> how do you get it to boot with 4 DIMMs installed?
troutfinger:
I get a warning about overclocking settings failing and to load defaults... I think this pig is pooched.
Thanks for your help, I will run the 16GB RAM and give the other 16 away as a birthday present and start looking for some matched DIMMs... and start saving some money for them!
Thanks for your attention flobelix and trying to help me out.
Cheers!
TF

 Something is not making sense here. The part number you give is for a single stick of this RAM, not a kit of 2. Besides that, the RAM goes in dimm slots 1 and 3 for regular dual channel. RAM manufacturers change chip makers often even though the part number may be the same. What does this mean? There may be enough batch to batch difference that they won't work together. Recommend to always buy a matched kit. Unless a graphics designer or using this pc for something special, 32GB is overkill.
