Best one yet

A friend of mine does tech support professionally and we were talking about silly things people do and I have now heard the best.

A person was assembling a computer and had run out of thermal paste. Well, the stores were closed and of course he couldn't wait to get his new gaming rig together, so as a substitute, he used peanut butter. I fairly sure he was able to get the peanut butter removed... the cpu didn't make it...

Just a piece of aluminim foil, cut to the exact size of the CPU die could have sufficed.  :nooo:
Geez, if people cant even figure that the material to be used should have some sort of thermal conductivity. People like that should probably be told to use superglue.  :rofl2:

Not a thing, and thanks for clearing it up who wears it. ;-))

As for me? Being of male gender, I'm not inclined to ever consider to wear any.

Your CPU may have a preference of color however. :-*
