Z77A GD65 - Error "d7"
« on: 03-August-12, 15:46:59 »

Hello

I have MB MSI Z77A GD65 with Intel 2500K. It worked fine, but I was on vacation for one week and after my return, it dont want to boot. (During vacation, I turned off my PSU and unplugged electric cable from wall.)
After I push power on button, monitor signs no signal and MB stuck with code "d7". After it, I need to push power button for 5sec and it shut off. It will eventually boot up on third - fifth attemp everytime. I tried to unplug everything from board, leaved only PSU, CPU and one ram module, but still same result, it will boot 1 time from 5 attempts (average). Is it clearly for RMA or what should I try?

Thank You for any suggestions.

Board: MSI Z77A-GD65

MEM: Kingston 16GB KIT DDR3 1333MHz CL9 (KVR1333D3N9K4/16G)
HDD: Intel 520 256gb SSD
COOLER: Noctua NH-D14
OC: CPU at 3.8Ghz Stock voltage, only multiplier raised to 38x.

have you tried to >>Clear CMOS Guide<< with power cord removed?
and to try to boot again with just one memory stick, but to use your second memory stick instead alone?

I tried to clear it, but i will try it again according to that manual to ensure it is completely clear. Yes, I tried three modules as one.
What exactly means that error, that no keyboard found?
I have Logitech K350 keyboard through Unified receiver (wireless) and wired Logitech G5 mouse.

So, I cleared Cmos, after first attempt it shows debug "dE" and freeze, after second attempt I was able to switch to second bios and boot, I reflashed bios and it seems it works correctly. So it seems to be damaged bios.
Thanks for help. Btw, when can I get full debug code list for this board?
