the 630GT is a low end Nvidia card and having 4GB of ram is overkill on that type of card unless your trying to run 2 huge resolution monitors for genaral stuff like watching films ect!

the GPU isn't for gaming as its quite slow and the ram is only DDR3 not DDR5 so its very slow in comparison at fast repeating frames! its cheap because its a BASIC video card for low end systems and nothing more.

if you plan on gaming you would need a 650 GT or GTX or better for any meaningfull performace in games.

Depends on what gaming means for you. Of course any current 3d game is out of reach with settings on high. It is a low-end card pretty much not meant for serious gaming. Expect minmum to sometimes medium settings in most games running fairly smooth. A gaming recommendation would cost a lot more.

That's a budget (mid-range) graphics card good for everything.
Including for playing games.

i agree a MSI N650PE1GD5/OC NVIDIA GTX650 PE you should be able to get for the same price and its a newer card because the 550ti units are now getting rare the price is holding up so go for a 650 as they cost the same!

You are both right.
However ...
1) He wants a MSI N550GTX-Ti
2) GTX 550Ti is a little bit faster (in games) than GTX 650.
Reason: 192bit vs 128bit
