GT72 6RE Bluetooth NOT WORKING?!?!?!?
« on: 09-May-17, 00:23:07 »

Hello all,

so i'm getting tired of this damn laptop. I've reset it 3  times now (reinstalled windows 10 64 Pro) and the Bluetooth works fine but then stops working but I think the issue starts right after I put it to sleep. Anyone know or have this issue too?

- Reinstalled windows 10, this is a clean install. Only a temporary fix.
- Tried reinstalling Bluetooth drivers. (Does nothing)
- Looked for an adapter under device manager found nothing.
- Bluetooth works fine until I put the laptop to sleep and wake it up. After that it never works again even on restarts...

Hi,
What is your Notebook model name actually?

Would you mind to use MSI Help Desk utility to export your system information?
You can find Help desk utility in your Notebook download page, take GT72VR 6RE Dominator-Pro for example:
https://www.msi.com/Laptop/support/GT72VR-6RE-Dominator-Pro.html#down-utility

For your BT problem, you can try the following steps:
1. Update BIOS and EC firmware.

2. Update Windows 10 to the latest version of ReadStone 2.

3. Remove old Bluetooth and killer LAN driver by the Windows control panel and download/install latest version from killer website:

Late reply but Model number is MS 1875. The reason I stopped caring was because my Bluetooth would work after a shut down and start up but now my WiFi is doing the same but it hasn't restarted... The adapters disappear and don't even show up in device manager but I do the "Discriptor Request Failed" in device manager (see attachment). I have reinstalled BT drivers multiple times from MSI website, i'll try from your link.

Hi,

I have the exact same problem, but with the GT72VR 6RD (the GTX1060 version)
I can solve the problem by disabling the Killer E2400 Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Network Adapter), but that is mostly. If that doesn't work, I need to shutdown (a restart would not do the trick either).

Hello guys,

When the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapter vanishes from your Device Manager, it is generally due to the BIOS or operating system not enumerating it properly. We have a guide in our knowledge base that explains exactly how to deal with this here - https://www.killernetworking.com/driver-downloads/kb/faq/31-bluetooth-missing-from-device-manager. If you need any further assistance, you can contact us directly at killersupport@rivetnetworks.com.

Will that driver help? because i have Qualcomm bluetooth.

The Bluetooth adapter is a Qualcomm device on the Killer Network adapters, so as long as you have a Killer Network adapter, the advice is the same.
