msi prestige pe60 6qd 200 motherboard
« on: 10-January-17, 19:35:27 »

Hi, i have a MSI  PE60 6QD-200XES i5-6300HQ/8GB/1TB/GTX950M/15.6". Does not turn on and when connecting the charger to the computer this enters protection mode and stops providing the 19 volts.
Surely it is from the motherboard and I would need to know what it takes and if I can replace or repair it. I write from Spain.
Helpme pls. Thx

Hi, what is the "protection mode" behavior you mentioned?  Can't charge the battery?
You can check the battery LED after you plug in AC adapter.

Manual says:
https://www.msi.com/Laptop/support/PE60-6QD.html#down-manual
• LED glows when the battery is being charged. • Continuously blinking if the battery fails. • Always consult an authorized retailer or service center for purchasing or replacing an equivalent type of battery recommended by the manufacturer. • Battery LED goes out when it is fully charged or when the AC/DC adapter is disconnected.

Check the LED status and judge if you need send the machine to local repair center.

The led does not illuminate either with the charger connected or when pressing the on button

If your laptop still in warranty period , you should go to your local service center because it maybe a dead motherboard.
