My msi 970fx-gd70 not working
« on: 17-July-17, 03:11:58 »

So basically I turned off my computer and now my motherboard won't display a code and I checked everything to see if it was not working and everything is find but just now I figured out if I turned on the computer everything turns and when i unplug the 8 pin CPU power it displays a error code of ff and I'm lost (ps:sorry for the mess I was taking the pc apart so didn't have time to clean)

to me its a 790FX-GD70 as i have the exact same board myself!

as for the Debug LED display that is a new one that its not turning on and the only thing it will display is FF!

i would suspect that the Controller for the Debug LED display has probably failed (Little chip just at the side of the Display) and is just dead as its pure hardware for debug codes its reading from the BIOS!

if it is that there is not much you can do about it as its a dead control chip.

I don't really think so because before I unplugged the 8 pin connector to the CPU it doesn't turn on and still no display
