b350 works fine then completely shuts off
« on: 13-September-17, 21:41:03 »

at random time is goes black,  i ahve to turn the system off because power button is unresponsive.
  i am then left with

-no fans running
-BOOT, VGA,and DRAM debug lights are off
-CPU debug light is on and white

in the past clearing cmos and waiting a few hours will get it to boot again.

my best theory before was that i had too much plugged into the front case usbs and that did a power thing.  but recently this has happened with no consistency whatsoever

it can work fine for days playing games and watching movies etc, i even ran some stress tests and could not get a crash.

if i get it turned on again i will disable xmp on ram

my specs are corsair cx450
b350 vdh-pro
vivo atx case
AMD ryzen 5 1400
crucial ballistix sport 8gb ram (x1)

im confused, it works so good then nothing, no overheating or anything

Thank you for replying

No, it won't boot,   all I get is the CPU and VRAM EZ debug lights,. Boot and VGA debug lights are dark.

CPU fan is on and main case fan is on.  The gpu fan turns on briefly then nothing.

What confuses me the most is that after my build the computer worked fine and i gamed on it for a few days before it completely shut down mid game.  I turned it on ran stress tests and everything was fine, then 2days later watching Netflix it crashed again, just instantly turned off.  Couldn't get it to turn on again until I cleared CMOS and let it sit overnight unplugged.  Right now i tried that and got nothing that's why I took everything apart and put back together

Now after rebuilding it  instead of just CPU debug light and no fans on- I now have CPU and VRAM debug lights and CPU fan and case fan on. Still no boot though.

is the RAM in slot 2? try both DIMM 2 and 4 and see if either one works.

and clean up the gold finger of your memory and make sure no stuff like oil stain on it
