MSI CUBI - BSOD when Installing Windows 10
« on: 10-August-17, 09:40:44 »

I have a MSI Cubi 3160NGW (MS-B096)
              Kingston 240GB mSATA
              2 x 4GB G-Skill F3-1333C9S

Everytime (20 times now) I try to install windows 10 from USB I get as far as Coping Windows File (0%) and then it crashes and throws a BSOD
I have tried changing fast boot options in the Bios, tried different USB drives and windows ISO´s and its always the same. I have tried the RAM and mSATA in another mini pc and windows installed normally.

Anyone have any ideas please?

can you please Run >>Memtest86<< and see if your memory is throwing out any errors?

Memory: F3-1333C9S is DDR3(1.5voltage)
https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-1333c9s-4gns

Memory specification is DDR3L (1.35voltage) for Cubi.
https://www.msi.com/Desktop/Cubi/Specification

So i suggest you change memory for DDR3L (1.35voltage) and then checking it again.

Thanks for the reply, but as i am getting these BSOD during windows installation, I cant do any of the above. Today I have also tried to install Ubuntu and windows 7, on 2 different HDD´s and it freezes up everytime. It freezes up during Disk check. I have also tried installing windows 10 on the hard drive but in another PC, and swapping it into the Cubi. I can get into windows sometimes, but again, BSOD within a few seconds.
