I have this weird behavior that overclocking values in BIOS are ignored when starting the PC after has been disconnected from power. After one restart everything works as it should as long as I do not disconnect the power between restarts. So, on first boot my processor is running at default 3.6GHz instead of 4.3Ghz. I use Cinebench 15 and Intel Extreme Tuning to bench and check the CPU freq.

I have a X299 Tomahawk board with bios 7B05v13 (latest at this time) + Intel Core i7 7820X. I have enabled in BIOS the Enhanced Turbo option that overclock all cores to 4.3Ghz and set the memory to XMP profile, these are the only settings I changed in the OC section from BIOS.

Any of you experiencing this behavior on X299 motherboards/BIOS? Any ideeas what I should try?

disconnect from power, do you mean you remove power cord? or just turn it off? for how long?

Yes, I turn off computer then disconnect the power cable for 5-10 seconds.

I discovered this behavior when assembling my new computer and trying different hardware/bios/software settings. I experimented different behavior with the same BIOS settings and I realized that starting the computer after a power disconnect was the only difference.
