Title: MSI Mobile Workstation @Computex 2017
Post by: digitalme404 on 31-May-17, 10:08:33
It’s Computex 2017 throughout the week! (May 30th ~ Jun 3rd @Taipei, Taiwan)      If you’re in the neighborhood, skip this post and JUST COME and say hi!

For those of you who can’t be here in person, here’s what we have for the show.

---

As all of our latest models are out already, we figured it’s a great opportunity to have the entire product family WT – WS – WE on display, and also demonstrate on how they might benefit your work.

Check out our live booth tour video from day 2:

Section 1: WT73VR with Matrix Display
We’re running the WT73VR with 3 external displays (via Thunderbolt 3, HDMI, miniDP ports), each with a different design program.
This is to show the ability to turn the workstation into a true desktop replacement when working at home or office.
So while you can carry the laptop on the road, you can also turn it into a full-function editing den thanks to the expandability and the performance of the Quadro P5000. (if you didn’t know, it’s basically the most powerful Quadro graphic available on any laptop)
This also makes the WT73VR a VR Ready workstation! (Check out our previous video (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=286788.0) if you haven’t seen VR creation.)

Section 2: WS63 with Thunderbolt 3
The WS63 is all about being mobile, as we’ve designed it to be extremely portable for any frequent travelers. The Quadro P3000 graphics makes no compromise and delivers mazing performance, so anyone can easily work on the go.
The demo here is pairing the WS63 with a 1.2TB external PCIe SSD storage dock (courtesy of AKiTio (https://www.akitio.com/)) via Thunderbolt 3 port. This gives you plenty of options for expandability, as there are so many different form of Thunderbolt 3 devices (docking, storage, display, etc.).
It’s also our first model to feature a fingerprint sensor for biometric security. If you’re here, or happen to see one, be sure to give it a try!

Section 3: WE series
We want more people to enjoy the benefit of MSI mobile workstations and the power of the Quadro graphics, hence the WE series. The lineup includes the 17.3” WE72 and the 15.6” WE62, with Quadro 2200/1200 graphics to choose from.
You still have all the reliability and stability seen on the premium models, which is something we make sure to never cheap out on the workstation family.

I think the mobile Workstation is the best working tools to create things in real world, simulations, architectures, modeling, mechanical design and military weapons, all these simulations and stress test only could be tested and calculated by Mobile Workstation with Quadro graphics with ISV certifications, not with GeForce GPU notebooks!
