Title: BIOS issues - cannot recommend this product
Post by: semce2 on 11-February-19, 00:52:19
Brand new build.  First thing I see is a cpu fan error message pop up on screen.  Then I discover that the computer goes into sleep mode after a couple minutes and will not wake up via the USB keyboard or USB mouse.  All windows 10 settings are set for sleep "Never".   All windows 10 settings are also so to not turn off USB ever.  I believe this is all BIOS related.   I cannot recommend this motherboard for anyone.

B360M.  Found the issue is with the video on the motherboard.  The computer was not going to sleep but kept stopping communicating with the monitor.  Same monitor I had on my old pc using Windows 10 and never had any issues.  The store installed a NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS display adapter and so far no issues.  I don't do any gaming so the motherboard video should have worked but apparently there is a defect somewhere.  Also was told there have been four BIOS updates so far for this board.  I just can't recommend this board and folks should avoid it until such time when MSI gets the bugs resolved.

B360M.

That is not a board model. There are many different MSI board models starting with B360M. Without a board model no investigation for a bios issue is possible. Add full system specs: >>Posting Guide<< (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=38822.0)

Yup, there are at least 8 MSI B360M models.

Motherboard won't go to "sleep" on its own, and can only be controlled by OS (in your case, Win10). Doing a negative "review" without knowing what you're doing and having OS poorly configured...
