Hello,
I have the same issue with 2 Samsung 970 EVO NVMe 1TB:
M2_1 @ PCIe 3.0 x2 = 1700MB/s (specificiation is PCIe 3.0 x4 with Ryzen 2nd Gen!!!)
M2_2 @ PCIe 3.0 4x = 3400MB/s

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X
Mainboard: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge WIFI @ Bios 7C37c12

Help is highly appreciated!!! :welcome:

Hi Svet,

is there also a proper version for the MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WiFi for the same issue?

Kind regards!

@AUTMrBird
with which BIOS version you have this issue with your board?

Hi Svet,

I have this issue with Bios Version 1.0 and 1.1 downloaded from the MSI support area https://de.msi.com/Motherboard/support/MPG-X570-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-WIFI and I also tried v1.22 from the MSI FTP server which has the same issue!

The M2_1 is just shown as PCIe Gen. 3 x2 - this results in half the speed with Read: 1779 MB/s Write: 1509 MB/s.
The other M2_2 slot works fine with PCIe Gen. 3 x4 and 3400MB/s.
The specification of the mainboard is PCIe Gen. 3 x4 with a Ryzen 7 2700X on both M2 slots!

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X
Mainboard: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon Wifi with Bios 1.22
NVMe: 2x Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1TB with latest firmware

Kind regards!

Thanks, now both M2s are working with PCIe 3.0 x4! :pompom:

Result:
M2_1 read 3520 MB/s, write 2485 MB/s
M2_2 read 3150 MB/s, write 2406 MB/s

The M2_2 on the X570 chipset is slower than the M2_1 on the processor! I had a similar result with the MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge mainboard.
Why is there such a big difference? Whats wrong with the chipset?
