Hello

I just purchased the MSI B350 TOMAHAWK and set everything up. Unfortunately, the audio for the rear on board jacks is not working on Windows 10. I have tried :

- using the generic Windows driver

- Installing the drivers provided on the MSI homepage
- removing drivers, re-installing them
- removing Nahimic application, removing driver, then re-install drivers

Nothing worked. The front audio on my tower is working fine.

It cannot be hardware-related because on linux the rear jacks work just fine.

Does anybody know something to fix this? Thanks.

sorry for my "stupid" answer, but:
did you swich output plug within windows sound mixer??
As far as I know you can only choose EITHER front OR back plugs - maybe for some reason your mb is not automatically switching??

Hi

I only use one plug. I tried the same speaker plug on the front Panels after the rear Panel didn't work. WIndows renogized that there is some sound, but nothing's coming out my speakers. As I said, it cannot be hardware since it works fine on linux

Do you say that the same system (mobo+case) has Linux installed and that the rear audio jack works when you are using Linux?
Is Nahimic fully uninstalled (uninstaller+registry cleaning+pc restart) ?

- Plug your speaker on the rear panel.
- Open the Realtek HD Audio settings application: C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RtkNGUI64.exe => upload the window copy
- Click on each of the 3 icons shown below => upload the 3 window copies

Good!

- Check the entry "Enable auto popug dialog, when device has been plugged in". Then, plug your speaker on the rear panel and tell what is popup.

- Check the entry "Mute the rear output device, when a front headphone plugged in". Then, plug your speaker on the front panel (I suppose you hear sounds), then unplug and plug it on the rear panel. Do you hear something now?

try a different realtek drivers
latest from msi web site for your board
and latest one from realtek website

Hello

Sorry for the late replay, I was on a long Business Trip and just got home.

Selecting the rear jack didn't help. However, i plugged it into another now and this did trick. Maybe the drivers behave a little funky. Well, I don't care, I have sound now :-)

Thanks for alll your help.
