Hi guys,
After recently building the computer rig, my first build from scratch, as stated in my signature, it booted up fine, no problems at all. Everything working as expected.
However after checking in control panel I noticed the:
Installed Memory (RAM): 12.0 GB (2.99 GB Usable)
I've been looking all over the internet for a good few days for a fix to the issue, although to no avail.
I've checked the BIOS, and all 12GB is recognised. It is also all recognised by CPU-Z.
The 3 modules are installed in the correct DIMM slots, in accordance with the manual for triple channel memory mode. The Clock speed of the RAM is supported by the motherboard too.
As well, checking the Resource Monitor states that 9.2GB of the RAM is hardware reserved.
I have tried - re-sitting the memory modules;
unchecking and rechecking max memory in advanced options of control panel;
checked the BIOS for memory mapping ( not there ).
Detailed information on RAM modules:
Corsair XMS memory,
4096 MB sticks,
Timings: 8-8-8-19
Part Number: CMX12GX3M3A1333C9
Max Bandwidth: PC3-10700H (667MHz)
Information obtained from CPU-Z.
If any information or recommendations could be given on how to fix the issue it would be greatly appreciated, still fairly new to building from scratch and keen to learn. Screenshots can be provided if necessary, thanks!
