Hello MSI Forum,
I'm looking for a suitable motherboard for a home workstation/server, and came across the MSI C236A Workstation. The problem is that I want to use 64GB of DDR4 ECC RAM, which requires 4x 16GB modules, but no such modules have been tested for compatilibity (according to the memory compatibility list).
Why is this the case? Is the maximum memory amount specified at 64GB not applicable when it comes to ECC memory? Also, the rightmost column in the memory compatibility list says "1 2 4 DIMM", does two ticks mean that only 1x and 2x of that particular module will work with the motherboard, but not 4x?
Any help would be much appreciated,
Regards
