I just installed my MSI geforce4 ti4600. My 3dmark score isn't up to par in my opinion. I am getting somewhere around 9500. When I play games with ligh flash effects (like Return to Castle Wolfenstein, the Tesla Coil) I see horizontal tearing, or lines across the lighting effects. Could it be the power supply?

My other problem is that i am having a hard time getting any refresh rate fix (I have used reforce and nvrefresh tool 2.0) to work with the MSI 30.00 drivers. Are the Nvidia detonator drivers better?

Any help would be appreciated.

Athlon xp 1800+ (not overclocked)

Ye_lunatic,

First off, the Power Supply might now be enough to run and Athlon XP and a GF4.

Second which OS are you using? If it is XP have you tried the Detonator 4 40.41 Drivers from nVidia?

Good Luck,

Richard

The PSU is a "Turbolink" switching power supply. Model "CWT - 320ATX - 12v"

+3.3 = 20a
+5 = 30a

It says "Peak Output Total 160w" on it.

Not enough power? Can that cause slow framerates, or flickering?

What power supply do you guys recommend? Will any power supply fit in my case?

causes all sorts of problems but seems to be different for every combination

modern boards feed of the 3.3 and need 30 plus amps as well as the 200 combined
