2080TI Lightning Z going to safe mode/1350MHZ when stock cooler fans removed

Hi,

I created an account just to post my problem here.
I just installed the new bitspower waterblock on my lightning Z.
It took me many hours to realize that the GPU goes to safe mode (stuck at 1350 MHZ) when the stock fans are not plugged in...
I tried both bioses, even the new LN2 bios... doesn't work.

To make it work, I had to remove the fans from the stock cooler and plug them in the PCB while having the waterblock on.
It's quite ridiculous...

It's a card built for LN2 overclocking... of course A LOT of people are gonna remove the stock cooler.

MSI can you please fix this quickly with a new vbios?

Oh dear. I'm glad I saw this issue before installing my bitspower waterblock. 

I have a question.

Is there now a updated normal bios and an updated LN2 bios for this issue? 

If so I would like to have both :p

Actually flobelix , if you could just send me the most resent BIOS (LN2 or regural)  that don't have issues with removing the fans etc. (and hopefully the RGB works :p ) . I have temperatures going to 83 C with no overclocking so I think I have a paste issue. Therefore I'm going eventually to watercooling when I get my other stuff.

Here's my serial number again just in case:

Hello, after installing the water block, I also encountered the problem of overclocking. Please send me Beta bios too. Thank.

Hi, The clock of my card is blocked in 1350. Could you send the latest vbios for 2080ti lightning Z and my S/N1: 602-V377-05SB1905000233. Is it only flashed for LN2 vbios and is there other latest default vbios ?

Hi flobelix,

After flashing this presumably bug free vBIOS the VRM temp monitoring disappeared from MSI Afterburner. My MSI AB version is 4.6.2. beta2
Can you please help to solve this? I want it back very much.

I would try the beta LN2 BIOS you provide via PM, kindly send it to me.
