Green background on 242f monitor when connected to XMyey dashcam
Updating the monitor's firmware to version FW.015 didn't help

pre story:
contacted MSI technical support,
on the old 2012 monitor, the video recorder normally shows via the HDMI-HDMI wire, but on the MSI monitor it has a green tint, I changed the wires to check, I also changed the firmware of the video recorder, it did not help, I connected different devices with a green background to the monitor
it would seem that the problem is in the recorder, but on the second monitor, the old one has no problems with both HDMI and VGA outputs
encoding H265 is used on the recorder
no one can solve the problem so far

MSI will reach out to you and assist further, seem a new firmware should fix it for that specific dashcam but the monitor does not support remote firmware update.

I sent the monitor along with the XMyey dashcam.
Maybe the service center will install the FW.016 firmware and connect the dashcam to see the results.

The kit includes a 12-volt power supply and an HDMI cable.
You can connect it right away and see the results.

The problem has been solved. I'm not sure why, but Foxtrot's tech support told me they were supposedly addressing a screen resolution issue when connecting to a dash cam.
Now there's no green background at 1920x1080.
I haven't tried other resolutions, but it's fine for me.
