The boxing isn't so special, but it is enough to protect the card. The box contains an other flat box, and there is a small envelope in it. The envelope contains 2 sticker, a paper with a link for product registration, a cd with drivers and utilities and a user manual. And the video card is under that flat box, it comes in a non-static bag.It is huge with its 290 x 140 x 51 mm size, but it only takes 2 slot form my space in the case. A video card with size of 3 slots is not to good for an sli where there is only 60mm between the pcie slots.
The card is red and black and I was afraid they will be ugly on de green and black workstation motherboard, but the cards completely hides the texture of the motherboard. My only problem with them is with the lighting, the msi cards comes with terrible leds, the red is pink the white is pink too, the green is weak, only the blue can produce a deep color and the music effect completely ignores the music (but it is the fault of the gaming app). The original MSI SLI HB bridge cuts half the dragon logo on the cards. So I use only the sli bridge's deep and bright orange or red (it is hard to determine).
The cooling is perfect, on the highest preset overlock settings there is no problem, the upper video card runs on 80 ?C on full load, and the second one runs on 70 ?C (and they got the CPUs full heat form the radiator on the front of my case). The cards were made from quality materials, it has a massive metal backplate with the cool MSI dragon. The gaming app is little slow, but it is stable and reliable, I think it should contain the afterburner, I don't like too install a tons of software on my PC. I have a monitor with 1920x1200 resolution and 80HZ, the cards can run everything on 80 FPS on ultra settings (The rise of the Tomb Raider sometimes produced only 75 FPS). I got 190 FPS on Heaven Benchmark using highest settings on this resolution.
