Can you double check the values with GPU-Z, at sensor tab, when you set the fan to 30%?
Also check what vbios the GPU is using with GPU-Z, Advanced, then scroll to nvidia bios

You have the latest vbios version installed.
If you disable the fan curve, the fans goes off right? [assume with Zero Frozr Enabled]

I have it set on "Auto" in AB, so I suppose its the build-in hardware curve. Yes it goes off.

In those conditions the fans are off, right?

Oki. The behavior seems to be expected from that GPU.
Have a ask MSI Support here => >>How to contact MSI.<<
if its possible they to do an updated vbios for your GPU with lower noise version. (or more balanced noise for IDLE with little usage version)
ask them for lower RPM version at IDLE with little usage (not for lower than 30%)
i.e. if possible to reduce the min. FANs RPM

For example, I've tested with 3060 Ventus 3x OC (Non Ti version)
they run at 30% with:
FAN1: 1250 RPM
FAN2: 1290 RPM

Thanks, but their support can barely understand english. Im not sure they even know what bios is.

Do what I did and buy a Krakken Liquid cooled cover for your Golden chip "Where all the moneys at" not real money.. The nexus kraken is a braket that holds a liquid cooler system, closedloop system lioke EVGA' line for CPUS, yes your buying the CPU cooler..comes with a radiator and the block to sit on your golden chip.. Oh yeah, No more huge Motorcycle radiator of fans and tubes, that all comes off..

Results are a lighter , shorter card, with 1 optional fan, The card runs cooler as a bonus! and theres no fan Sound! bonus #2 ... The radiators have huge effective fans that make minimal noise.. You wil need confidence and some skill to modify ur Kraken adapter to fit your GPU...
If you have 200$ to spend, you could get a full case that encloses ur GPU in liquid so to say.. havn't gone that route so cant give information on it.. My 3070ti was Loud Loud Loud.. with 3 fans blasting. oh what a difference this made, cooler, can run hgigher clocks, noise reduction.. !!

As a bonus you can fry your PC when this thing leaks out in 1 or 2 years...as a bonus. No thanks.

Chiming in.. Have two MSI Trident 3's with 3060's in them both the exact same card. One system is pretty quiet with it's graphics and it's at 30% no complaints.. but would be nice if it went lower..
The other one is 100RPM faster and is noticably noisier.. it's also at 30% fan speed and for some reason received a BIOS update the other card hasn't received (don't know if that affected fan speed) Anyway I would really like to lower the RPM on this because it's only 6 degrees C above ambient and I can clearly hear it.. the fan shouldn't be on at all or maybe 500RPM? MSI plz look at this!

I have a feeling they are setting their cards up with arbitrary fan values. Some get lucky, some dont.

I measured them with my phone and the noiser one is about 5dba noisier, it's actually annoying. I think first chance I get I'm replacing it with a Aero 4060 or 4050 series.
So much for the "silent" in Silent Storm Cooling 2 =/
Hiding basic options behind paywalls is pretty gross.

I have exactly the same problem as you, the same rpm at
30%, I tried to flash the vbios but none is compatible, did you fix the problem?

Paywall what paywall
Not paywalled in the traditional sense, I meant by forcing people to pay more for a basic feature. I could find NO Aero ITX cards with Zero Forzr..
It SHOULD be a feature on every card, full stop and it's honestly pathetic that it's not.

Nope, there is no fix for this aside from MSI doing what they should've done from the start. My graphics card is at time of writing 4 degrees C above ambient room temp in winter.. this fan could easily be off, but instead MSI forces me to listen to the fan whirr.. and this is the 5dba quieter one.. (EXACT SAME CARD) as in the other Trident too.. my desktop version is actually annoying.
They could fix this a firmware update easily. MSI should feel shame for the completely unrequired & forced noise pollution and energy usage.
I think product design clearly fails MSI TBH and judging from all the posts online I've seen about this issue I'm clearly not the only one that thinks so.
This is AN EXPECTED FEATURE and MSI WITHHOLDS it. This behavior certainly informs my future product purchases... Disgusting business practice.

I am going to buy a bracket cable for the fan, I saw it on Amazon, I will try it and I will comment again, it will arrive in approximately 2 weeks, embarrassing that we have to find solutions on our own.

Unfortunately no. I`ll wait a bit till the prices go down to get it back to the store.

btw...the official support said to me, that you can damage your card with a different fan modes, which I hardly believe its true, because they dont say how exactly how it can happen. Im not an expert, but I do believe that you can wear out your system faster by having temperatures that fluctuate up and down too fast, instead of having a constant smooth curve. The second problem, is that I HAVE to turn off my computer at night, and all the components suffer from this too....MSI is a bunch of evil people if you ask me, never to mention such important features in their cards specification.
