I flashed with a vbios from a Ventus 2x and the fans were at very low speeds and inaudible, of course after starting Windows the screen went black, I managed to restore the original bios, and the fans were not damaged, they are still just as noisy. . I hope the low noise adapter works, my idea is as you mention, a gentle breeze all the time, because I don't like those sudden changes either.Unfortunately no. I`ll wait a bit till the prices go down to get it back to the store.
btw...the official support said to me, that you can damage your card with a different fan modes, which I hardly believe its true, because they dont say how exactly how it can happen. Im not an expert, but I do believe that you can wear out your system faster by having temperatures that fluctuate up and down too fast, instead of having a constant smooth curve. The second problem, is that I HAVE to turn off my computer at night, and all the components suffer from this too....MSI is a bunch of evil people if you ask me, never to mention such important features in their cards specification.
And yes, I will not buy anything from msi again.
