Hey friends,

So I called support and they are saying my card is probably defective but I wanted to ask if anyone is having this issue and I've been working from home.

I use Excel and Word and randomly my computer will freeze, black screen, no signal and then come back a few sec later. The computer is not stressing, no loads. Open programs:
-Word or Excel
-Twitch, maybe Sportify or movie on second monitor

Thats it.

I came home today, left the computer running and I had black screens, computer was running but it wouldnt come back, had to reboot.

Things I have done:
-Reinstall drivers
-Check PSU, voltage is v12, constant

I have no tried my other PCIE slot, I have tried my 1080ti and the issues are not occuring. I dont seem to know what Imd oing when it happens and it seems to be random.

Thanks.

Well im have very similar issues. I can play Doom Eternal at 1080p but if i go to any higher resolution the game stops, screen goes blank, and then game starts again and then repeats.
I used to have the problem that if i switch from the computers HDMI port on the TV to another HDMI port than back again the screen would be blank or if i left the computer for a while it would be blank when i came back. I would then and then have to power off and restart the computer. In fact if i started the computer with the TV off and then turned on the TV i would have a blank screen. If i had the TV on then started the computer the screen was active.
The new built computer works properly now except for the blink in games above 1080p.
I did the following which helped a bit but did not fully resolve my issue.
I used a proper Computer Monitor in lieu of TV have found i had the same issue. Left me with card or cable.
I tested all my HDMI cable using a testing unit and they are all ok. Beside they worked fine with the other computer. Leaves me with card.
I pulled out the video card and its power cables and reinstalled both. I am running a single PCie cable to each power pin on the card (Three cables in total). Doing this seemed to help with some of my issues.
I installed the very latest Driver 456.71 directly after installing the operating system. Uninstalled and Rolled it back to 456.38 and Im now back on 456.71. I have the same issue on both drivers.
I have had my other computer with 980ti card connected using same equipment without any issues.

If any one can suggest a fix for this blinking at high resolution during games i would appreciate it.

So you're no longer haing issues with like, a freeze, black screen, no signal and then the screen coming back or you still have that issue?

The game screen goes between game to black screen and and then back to game. The rest of this issues, blank screen at startup or when i switched HDMI socket etc are now fixed.
