[3080 ti] Issue with monitor, displayport connection, boot with artifacts until windows

Dec 5, 2019
Moderators said my issue was not the same as the other thread so i am creating a new one since I am "unique" and no one else is affected by this topic.

Any 3080 ti user with errors connecting to a monitor?
Error meaning:
> Black screen until windows
> No capability to enter bios
> Black screen with artifacts until windows pops up

As reported in this thread https://forums.evga.com/RTX-3080-TI-FTW-ULTRA-Cant-see-BIOS-post-screen-w-DP-port-m3410892-p3.aspx, the issue happens with CSM disabled (essential to have reSize Bar) and a displayport connection.

My setup:
CSM disabled, reSize enabled
ASUS XG258q (HDMI 1.4, HDMI 2.0, Displayport 1.2

HDMI 1.4 120hz - works flawless without errors during boot, BIOS accessible
HDMI 2.0 240hz - works flawless without errors during boot, BIOS accessible
DISPLAYPORT 1.2 240hz - fails (black screen with artifacts) until windows loads and then everything is perfect

Nvidia provided multiple fixes to monitors (1.2 DP and 14 D.P) and that solved some of the issues.

NVIDIA GPU Firmware Update Tool for DisplayID - https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5233/

and also
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/nv-uefi-update-x64/ - NVIDIA Graphics Firmware Update Tool for DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4 Displays

Also, brands like EVGA and ASUS created specific vBIOS versions to avoid this issue.
None of these helped my case.

This happens with old and new monitors. Example from the EVGA thread above:
"Same problem. RTX 3080 TI FTW3 Ultra with an MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge Wifi mobo (both latest BIOS) and Samsung G9 Odyssey 49" ultrawide.
Some observations:
Monitor at 240Hz, Displayport 1.4, no boot.
Monitor at 120Hz, Displayport 1.4, boots, no UEFI splash screen. Screen comes on when Windows has booted.
Monitor at 60Hz, Displayport 1.2, boots with UEFI splash screen.
If I enable CSM, PC will boot at 240Hz but that causes other issues (such as resizable bar turning off). I almost RMA'd my GPU because of this. :( "

Just want to understand the experience of the users here, specifically MSI SUPRIM X users. DO you have the standard bios? the default one?
Have you got any update from MSI center or support?

Thanks in advance.

My vBios: - GAMING mode - SILENT mode
(aka the "Default" ones)

Posting another thread isn't going to help your situation.
We've literally told you what to do. You refused to do it, then claimed to decide to buy another product from someone else while also claiming you closed the ticket.

You'll not find anything else here, and personally, we're all tired of seeing you creating threads, posting in other threads, etc.....even after being warned of the rules.
Quite frankly, there is literally nothing the moderators can do to help. We do not have access to VBIOS's (hence why we can't even begin to tell you if new ones exist), nor do we have any access at all to any info on the GPU's that isn't publicly available.
