Just installed yesterday and noticed it boosts itself to like 1950 sometimes over 2. Is this normal. Advertised is 1825.

Tried simple OC scan in Aburner and it said unstable. So left it alone.

Sorry if this seems simpleton but I'm not as savvy as I used to be.

And pro tips would be great with regards to this card as well.

Running Asus Hero VIII wifi. Amd 3900x. 32gb Gskill Neo 3600.

It will boost as much as it can if you get crash to desktop you may want to lower its MAX boost speed in Afterburner.

But if stable I would just grin and go oh yea extra Performance

It is normal to boost past advertised clockrates. These are typical boost clockrates the card makes even if thermal or power situation is not optimal. In use it will always try to run the highest boost possible depending on temps, power and load situation. Manual oc is not guaranteed and many of the high-end factory overclocked cards will not have anymore potential than the already very high maximum boost clockrates they can run at with factory settings. An oc scan can thus fail because simply trying far too much.
