Hey guys,

Kinda reaching out here as a last resort. I'm currently running 3090/5900x, msi aio, 32 gigs of ram, 1200w psu and 9 fans in a lian li case.
I'm sure everyone is on bf2042 and Halo like myself at this point and everytime I run Halo Infinite, the card throttles immediately to 100% usage. I've tried running the game on all different settings, low, med, high - etc. My drivers are currently up to date and I just cleaned everything out about 3 days ago with compressed air, etc. Entire build is probably only 6-7 months old. I've run msi afterburner to try and adjust fan speeds, etc. and haven't had any luck lowering it below a 100% usage. Am I missing something or does anyone have any tricks that will help me out? I'm not experiencing any crashes or freezes and I can play for multiple hours with no issues. I'm just worried about the longevity of the card if I continue to run at 100% for extended amounts of time.

Not sure if im in the right place but thanks for the help!

Could try V-Sync On did not notice that in HALO inf but was not taking much notice. will kick it up and run a training mission see what happens. But I do not think I got much over 80% usage.

What do you mean by this? You don't like the 100% usage?
Or the card is throttling in some way? If so what exactly?
I don't think they understands the difference between 100% Usage and 100% load plus I think the Throttle is a translation error sort of like the Throttle is wide open and card running flat out.

From my understanding its okay that the card was reaching 100% usage. I was more or less worried that given long play times it would affect the card but im thinking thats not the case. Card does rev pretty hard though when everything is maxed out. However after checking temps its seems its not close to 100% so I should be good? I went from a 2080ti and didn't have anything like this happen even when under load but after flipping through the interwebs for a bit it seems the cards are not quite fully optimized yet and the fans seem to have some issues. Just didn't want to ruin the card given the price tag ha.

Alan, - which program are you running that shows your vitals/temps?

Thank you for the input though!

I use AMD GPU and it is in built in to the driver package your best bet may be GPU-Z or umm Afterburner.

Is one of the few bits of software that is way better than what Nvidia turn out Drivers still need work but the OC stuff and monitoring has gotten very good.
