I'm currently building a new PC - my last PC build was 8 years ago (w 1080 Ti). Any advice on getting a new 40 series video card? I feel like I've been waiting for months for new cards to get in stock and... nothing. I know there's a shortage because production shift toward the 50 series, tariffs, and scalpers. Are there any secrets that I need to be aware of? I've signed up for notifications on the MSI site. I'm using PCPartPicker and checking Amazon regularly. I'm not interested in trying my luck on eBay with an $800 purchase given the likelihood of scammers. Other ideas?

How did you get your 40 series cards?

Hi
There are no secrets here. Try a reputable store in your country or area. Amazon quite frankly isn't one of them though.

Reliable Supplier I use regularly for PC parts

There was mention that Nvidia had Stopped production of 40 series Dies some months back
So you may be out of luck for a New 40 Series unless they still have stock

Got mine from Newegg. Wanted the 4080 Super but they were all out. So I took the 4070 Ti Super instead. I heard they weren't making anymore 40 series so I figured I'd get it before it was too late. All I see on Newegg is the 4060's being in stock and I personally wouldn't buy that version. I'm sure the 50 series will come back in stock eventually.
