Have let MSI know Nvidia Drivers strike againThe Lightning Z screen is detected in Windows
Hi Guys,@ramses @abara15c302e5
Hi Guys
Have spoken with our MSI contact, and they would like you to provide a bit more information
System Configurations
OS used
BIOS version used
What is the Panel's display lightning default animation?
Is Device Manager showing: EZ display with an exclamation mark
Are you Unable to configure the panel with MSI Centre?
Please run the MSI logging tool and pm me the zip file
The tool is for collecting MSI Center/Dragon Center/Creator Center log file for troubleshoot.

I understand that but did not understand whether the msi log file program would capture logs from the previous incident when i had the driver or require me to go to the new driver and run it. Not sure i want to guinea pig on this one considering how much problems i had just trying to get the lightning screen stable in the first place with my new build.thanks Aaron,In the first post I already mentioned that this problem doesn't exist with the previous driver. MSI will be investigating whether they can fix it with a new driver for your screen, or if Nvidia needs to fix the problem.
Thanks, it all helpsHi Guys,
Here is the additional information. I was also able to isolate the issue further and it appears to be directly related to the current NVIDIA driver.
System configuration:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Outside of the SSD and RAM, mine is an all MSI build which hopefully will help. Note its a clean install of Windows 11 as of Sunday of last week. God speed! Thanks, it all helps
As MSI will clone your build for more accurate testing
More builds, more info, make it easier to find a fix
When you write its killing off all virtual screens, the lightning is a physical screen recognized by windows as a second display. I am certain that this driver update by Nvidia is not killing of second/third screens in windows? For anyone watching this thread, the issue appears to be related to the AI powered Nvidia driver killing all virtual screens (like that of the Lightning Z) and not the MSI software. So we'll need to watch for when Nvidia's AI agents get their collective sh!t together.
Thanks Ramses. Assuming the MSI flashdash software is creating the virtual display? odd since its a physical screen recognized in device manager with its own driver. Did you try this update already and did it solve the issue?https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5906
