Hi I bought a 5090 ventus about a month ago and when I got it, it ran at 92c with fans at 100 percent. This is on a test bench in my home. Not warm at all. So I sent it back to get fixed and they just sent it back and it is actually worse. It goes to 100 percent fan after 10 seconds in the game. It makes it only as fast as my 4090. I've tried different motherboards, different processors, different power supplies and cables. Still the same. Is there anything else that can be done or is the 5090 like this?

From what I have seen, there is not a big Difference in Performance between 4090 and 5090 for normal gaming. Not sure it would be worth getting if you're already using a 4090

Try to undervolt the 5090 to 1.000v with Afterburner

Something was not right. I have the same Ventus GPU, and when playing something like Doom Dark Ages, all maxed out, pulling over 500w, the GPU sits around 74c to 78c, and the mem around 76c to 84c (mostly 80/82c). The fans are normally around 1900rpm. The same test with a Zotac AMP saw the temps about 2-4 °C cooler on the GPU and mem, but, after about 30 mins, that thick backplate it has could not disperse the heat fast enough. It just got hotter and hotter, so even though it started better, in the end, it got worse than the Ventus. The other Zotac issue is that the fans are a lot more noticeable....a lot.
