I am using the hardware in the title and running into issues. 1 Monitor is a 4k, the other are 1080p

My old MOBO had display port/hdmi connections that I connected 2 of 6 monitors to, and the other 4 to my GPU.

My MSI Ace MOBO has 3 usb-c ports. 2 Thunderbolt 4, 1 Type-C Display port

I've connected 4 of my monitors to the GPU, they work fine.

I have 2 monitors Daisy chained (Dell P2419HC) via DP with a thunderbolt 4 cable to my Tpye C port on MOBO, they are black screen, detected by windows though, showing inactive in display settings.

I've enabled iGPU in the bios

I've tried unplugging the daisy chain, the monitor just says no usb-c source detected.
  • Tried plugging dGPU into MOBO with DP to mini-DP port adapter for thunderbolt 4 support, successfully works to power 2 daisy chained monitors, other 2 continue to not work. If I plug one into dGPU it kills the daisy-chained monitor.

  • Called MSI support who said "huh, it should work, idk"

  • I've tried connecting 4 monitors to iGPU and 1 to iGPU, everything works until except 1 monitor will not connect to dGPU (black screen) if the Type-C to a monitor is plugged in.

  • MSI rep says try windows 11... so tried that, and the release date BIOS.
All in all it seems that any combination is fine until a 5th monitor is added then its just like nope.

There're too many "Type-C" ports and monitors which make your configuration quite hard to understand... or maybe I'm just dumb...
So 4 monitors connected to 2x Thunderbolt4 (USB-C) ports, which needs to connect the DisplayPort of the discrete graphics card to the Mini DisplayPort Input port on the back panel.
And 1 monitor connected to onboard Type-C DisplayPort?
Now 5 monitors work as expected, but once you connect one last monitor to dGPU, it will go black screen no display?

Not dumb at all this is kind of complicated to explain. Here is a graphic that better illustrates

If I plug in monitor 1 or 4 it shuts off monitor 2. I've tried dGPU and thunderbolt connections and same result. If I plug in anything more than 4 monitors, in any configuration it kills one display. If I attempt to daisy chain a 3rd display from a thunderbolt connection it renders the3rd display as 480p

I should add, Type C and thunderbolt are not the same. Type C does not require dGPU to power it, thunderbolt requires a jumper from the DP on the dGPU to the MOBO/iGPU. I've tried both without seeing a difference.
