I have a 760GM motherboard and I've installed 2x Corsair CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 Ram modules (each 2x4GB) which should give 16GB. I've updated the BIOS to the latest version from the MSI website 7641vHH.zip but I can't get it to recognise more than 4GB. Can anyone help?

Try each stick alone, in both DDR slots. Be sure to reset CMOS every time.

Hi Jukub, thnaks for your reply, I tried swapping the cards and trying some others (2x 4GB) but the motherboard refuses to recognize more than 4GB!
Do I need to tell the motherboard about extra memory?
thanks, Marcus

No, it should detect it by itself, we just need to determine if your motherboard has faulty DDR slot or you have bad RAM stick. Just checking, but you check your RAM amount in BIOS, not Windows, right?
