newer than which version?
Well considering that they only have one version available for normal download that would mean anything newer than the original (1.0)... I would like to see a beta even...

No offense intended but where did this file come from? Do they not have a beta download site?

Moderators have access to MSI provided BETA BIOS's that we can provide on the forum.
MSI only posts their official releases on their support pages.

oki, here it is

Lifesaver!

This fixed a problem when I had any "overclock" settings or custom ram timings/speeds.
When powering off (and unplug), the next power up would say overclock failed press F1 to enter bios bla bla bla, even if it was stable and well within spec (eg 1600mhz ram).

It was pretty annoying having to go back into the bios before I could boot just to resave settings.

It also hugely helped ram stability for me, max I could get stable previously was 1600 now I can get 2133.

Most likely no.
This is very old hardware at this point. 6+ years old now from when it launched.
Support for it has long ended by now.

Platform is indeed old but this motherboard was released just under a year ago (August 18th 2016).

The last beta bios improved stability at stock speeds and also improved overclockability.

I just hoped maybe they were still working on a bios for it as I believe it could still be improved.

Hi folks, my spec resumed:

970a pro carbon bios E7992AMS.110
fx-6350 + noctua NH-d15 oc'ed to 4.6ghz stable at 1.64v, package average 30 degrees idle and core 40 degrees idle
G.skill Sniper F3-1600C9D-16GSR 1.5v
GTX 750
windows 10

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had oc stability issue on the stock  bios 1.0, since i update to E7992AMS.110 it solve the problem and seem to be cooler, thx for the good work.

but can't get my memory to work at 1866mhz (that is not normal)

and my 12v  is reported at 13.2v on all software that i tried, i prefer using cpuid HWmonitor

maybe this E7992AMS.113 can solve theses issues ? since no patch note come with this beta i want to know what improvement this beta bios is for ?

Thx

Hi dear, this topic is about beta release i know right, i just include some of my pc spec and statement to let know msi dev and user that their 1.1 version was better...

Here's was my question : '' maybe this E7992AMS.113 can solve theses issues ? since no patch note come with this beta i want to know what improvement this beta bios is for ? ''

can we get the changelog of this E7992AMS.113 bios please ?
and there's a newer version than E7992AMS.113 floatting around ?

This board is EoL....no further BIOS updates will be had (most likely). And no, we cannot share the changelog. If you would like that, talk to MSI directly. See : >>How to contact MSI.<<

So why you all moderator support msi, if you are not from the inside.... ?

Feel sorry guys, all my respect go personnaly for you but i have to speak the truth about this mobo and the poor marketing, disappointement and support coming with this purchase.

the platform is old, we all know but we expect some support and tweak from a motherboard who was release 1 year ago, we paid some money to get this mobo...
every mobo are different even on same platform due to capacitor and circuit design, they all need a tweak

a real shame on msi if the end user can install a beta and don't even know what are the changelog, we will install something without knowing what's inside. :p
i'll sell this mobo on ebay and will get something form a well know competitor that provide better support and where forum users are not opppressed by fake moderators who in fact i suspect to work for msi :p

btw almost 15 years ago that competitors provide a recover of a fail oc that return the bios to last working state frequency

in 38 years of pc hobbyist and enthusiast, yea my first pc was release in 1984 a trs-80 and the very first motherboard from msi that i bought is the 970a pro carbon and feel so disappointed :(
