In one word: Awesome.
The world and the story that you play through in it are immense.
The settings and characters have been crafted meticulously, you really feel like playing through something that could have spawned from Tolkien's pen (well, okay, the Witcher wasn't written by Tolkien, but the inspiration is there, obvious to see for all).
2, almost 3, years on and the graphics are still great. This is the one game I have that taxes my (MSi 1070 ti) graphics card the most, making it run 7 degrees hotter than a brand new game like project cars 2, so this should tell you how it looks.
The content isn't to be sniffed at either, beyond the main story there are so many side quests ("contracts" in which you hunt and kill stronger monsters, secondary quests which can vary from defending a village to finding a lost goat and treasure hunts in which you look for witcher gear and other valuable items, often guarded by monsters as well)
I'm about half way through the second playthrough right now, or maybe not even, and I'm already over 200 hours.
All in I'd give this game a 9,5. Definitely check it out if you haven't yet.
