A power supply of 350W, can?t support the GTX 1070 graphics card. Don?t believe things that are not scientifically proven.

Some gamers are confused that MSI Aegis is equipped with an NVIDIA GTX 970 graphics card but only has a power supply of 350W. Please let us explain why we can achieve this mission impossible.

This time we used the Aegis with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 armor graphics card to do the testing. The results show that when Aegis with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 in full run status only uses 294W power consumption. We also runned some well-known games for a benchmark score. After our testing you will believe Aegis can support the NIVIDA GTX 1070 graphics card!

To see is to believe. Now I trust that 350W PSU is totally enough for Aegis.

I used to DIY PCs for decades, The power from DIY's power supply usually needs to mutiply the power efficiency. For example, DIY's 500W * 80% efficiency, the result is 400W. Sometimes the power from DIY's market is just for reference.

MSI's power spec is already multiplied by efficiency. Which means 350W is really output power to the system. I have a friend worked in a power supply vendor, I was told the 12V OCP (Over Current Protection) is even much higher than 350W. To be hones, I trust MSI's 350W more than DIY's 500W.

Id like to know this also :p

- I think when the 1070 came out they mentioned that it is capable of running more efficiently and drew less power than the 970
- But I was also wondering if i had some power play in there to dedicate to some exhaust and intake fans... so these values may help :)

even though that testing was done i won't dare to use a power supply that low on watts on a graphic card that demands to much horse power from a PSU . at list a 500w could be posible but still i won't dare to
