AI Menu Does Nothing

I recently bought the MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 monitor. Almost everything works fine except this one thing.

When using Gaming Intelligence app, you can set up the AI Menu so that whenever you launch a game or some other app, the screen settings are supposed to change automatically (color settings, crosshair settings, AI sensor, etc...). That is in theory. However, in practice this function does not work at all. No matter what I do I cannot get it to work.

I tried completely reinstalling the app, resetting the monitor to factory settings (which was a pain in the a*s, because I had to redo all settings to how I had them), using a different USB port in the PC, unplugging the monitor from power... Absolutely nothing I tried worked.

Could you provide the corresponding game or specific software? Or related screenshots and photos? It seems that AI Menu requires specifying the corresponding program executable file in order to work.

It really does not matter which. Tried it with World of Warships (WoWs) and Helldivers 2. I figured out which executable files should be monitored by launching both games and then tracing the path through Task Manager. What should be happening is the color mode should change (by default I use Eco), Adaptive-Sync should turn on (by default I have it off), and for Helldivers the AI Crosshair should turn on. Neither of which happens.

EDIT: For WoWs the settings change. However, they do not revert back to default once the game is turned off, meaning everything needs to be set back to default manually every time. For Helldivers there is no change; I even checked the program path again to be sure.

EDIT2: Now this is interesting. If you open up the Gaming Intelligence app, and open the Monitor Control tab (after turning off WoWs), then it reverts back to default settings. Still doesn't do it automatically though.

Please try lanuching the game directly using its absolute file path (execute file), or manual create a shortcut to run the game. It's very like the game is not detecting by Gaming Intelligence app when it starts.

Trust me, I already tried that. It doesn't work whether I launch the game directly, via a shortcut, or through Steam. I also launch WoWs through Steam, and it applies the settings change.

It is definitely the game not being detected by Gaming Intelligence app. The question is why and what can be done about it.

I tried it with another game, Cyberpunk 2077. Same as with WoWs, the settings get applied, but do not revert to default after switching the game off. Have to open up Gaming Intelligence app and go to Monitor Control tab for it to "refresh" the settings.

I am a bit confused. Are you saying that both Cyberpunk 2077 or World of Warcraft on Steam can load the preset AI Menu settings when the game starts, but when you exit the game the monitor does not return to the original default settings? If so, this is normal behavior after checking my MPG 322URX monitor, and the last preset game settings in the AI Menu will remain active. You need to go back to the Monitor Control tab to restore the settings.

Well, then that's terrible way of having it work and bad job on MSI's part. Any other game detecting program I know of (Razer Synapse, Logitech G Hub to name a few) can revert to default settings once games are off and without the need of going into their menus.

Still no clue why it detects World of Warships and Cyberpunk without issues, but does not work with Helldivers. Oh well, maybe in future updates it gets fixed.

It sounds like the AI menu feature might not be responding properly, which sometimes happens after updates or when certain options aren’t fully loaded yet. Trying a refresh, clearing cache, or checking if the feature requires an active input field can help. I’ve seen similar glitches in apps where menus appear but don’t trigger actions. Interestingly, I ran into something comparable while browsing restaurant menus online—this page actually lists the latest Olive Garden dishes and prices pretty clearly if anyone’s curious.

I’m pretty sure when i used AI menu for a game (CS2) and i exit the game, the setting turn back to original profile… But now i have the same problem and i need to go back to the Monitor Control tab to restore the profile

I recently used https://mac.eltima.com/ai-headshot-generator-app/ to make a new gaming avatar and that tool actually worked flawlessly.
Classic MSI software jank. Your settings are totally fine, the app is just failing to track the games in the background.

For Helldivers 2, it’s likely the anticheat blocking the MSI app from seeing the game process entirely. For WoWs, the background service is just getting stuck and needs you to manually open the app to wake it up.

Try running Gaming Intelligence as Admin to see if it can bypass the anticheat. If that doesn't fix it, honestly, just map those profiles to the physical joystick on the back of the monitor. MSI software is notorious for bugs like this and it's usually not worth the headache.
