I would like to buy 3 sticks to get as close to 2 GIG of RAM as possible (the max on my board), but I don't know which 3 sticks to buy. I figured I would look at the recommended sticks for this board from MSI's site. I figured anything that was 512 (1 stick) then I would buy 3 sticks of that. Is that alright? Where can we get an idea what sticks MSI tested that utilized all 3 banks to get 2 Gigs of memory.

Dont quote me on this, but I thought you could only put two sticks of ddr400 in...

If not, go with that kingmax he mentioned. Its compatible and cheap, I hear it performs well too.

Right now I'm running a Kingmax 512MB in DIMM slot 1, and in DIMM slots 2 and 3 I've got Kingston KVR400X64C25/256. I hope to replace the Kingston modules with 2 more Kingmax. But for now, my memory is running at 400MHz!

You need registered ECC ram if you are going to fill all 3 slots. It?s in the manual.

Hmmm....interesting - I did not see that in my manual. I thought the FX-51 was the cpu that required ECC, registered, buffered RAM. Maybe i'm just confused about this, but my system seems to be very stable and cpu-z shows memeory running at 400MHz. But thanks...I'll look into that!
