I've had this laptop since September 2016 and it's definitely starting to develop a few quirks. For the past few weeks, no matter how many drivers I update or what my power settings are, my computer absolutely refuses to go to sleep when the lid is closed or when idling. It is capable of sleeping because I can do so from the power menu, but otherwise it just sits there never sleeping and I often come back to my computer after not having used it in days and it will be warm or even hot to the touch. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's plugged in or not. And now the HDD is starting to make a loud, squealing noise -- like a kettle. I've updated the bios, I've reinstalled every driver, I've tried hard rebooting, I've fresh installed Win10... I'm a bit concerned because my partner has the same laptop as me and he's had a complete nightmare with it, starting with the GPU fan making a horrible noise that sounded as though it were going to explode.

Has anyone else experienced these kinds of issues?

Use latest Help Desk to export the system info and post the text information in here.

You also should try with Fn+F12 and set the power button for sleep

Besides, could you also help record an audio file or a short video for that loud and squealing noise?
