ASMedia, SATA - BSOD - Tech Response

I received some potentially welcoming news this morning. I reached out to MSI Tech Support back in January when I first experienced the ASMedia issue. Surprisingly, they responded back to that 6 month old service ticket with the following:

Note: The "Intel" bug that I also reported was the 0c min temp reading. I worked with Intel's tech support who reconfirmed that was an issue, and later resolved it with a microcode update that MSI eventually implemented (assuming it was the 12900KS supported bios release).

It looks like MSI is working on this. I received a response last night with a link to Beta bios v172 where they are asking me to flash and test. The problem is between my work schedule and travel, I won’t be able to try for a few weeks.

Write MSI support and ask for the beta bios that addresses the ASMedia issue. Reference 172 for the Edge Z690 WiFi DDR4 and see if there is one applicable for your board.

If you send me a PM, I’ll share the Google drive link that they shared for the Edge DDR4. Not sure if I’m allowed to post it.
