Audio input not functioning

I have a brand new GP72VR 7RF Leopard Pro Laptop. Intel I7-7700HQ CPU 16 GB DDR4 Ram and a GTX 1060 video card. I am not getting any microphone to work by connecting external mics to the microphone jack on the left side of the pc. The headphone jack next to the Mic jack works and every headset i have tried gets perfect sound but the microphone when connected will not pick up and record any sound. I have tried using an MSI headset, and a Turtle beach X12 headset and neither will work. I have all the latest drivers and still no luck any help? It will not even autodetect and microphone that i plug in.

Try uninstall all audio drivers then reinstall brand new drivers softwares.

Use latest Help Desk to export the system info and post the text information in here.

Besides, what kind of headphone do you use? If it is 4pins headphone, you could check with followings.
