Dear MSI Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue with my MSI PRO H610 E DDR4 motherboard. The integrated audio is not working, and Windows does not detect any sound device (DxDiag shows no audio device). The problem started after an unsuccessful BIOS flash.
Here is what I have already tried to resolve the issue:
- BIOS Settings:
- I verified that the HD Audio Controller is enabled in the BIOS.
- I performed a BIOS reset to factory defaults to ensure proper configuration.
- Audio Drivers:
- I downloaded and installed the latest Realtek audio drivers from the official MSI website.
- I also tried using the Windows Update drivers, but no audio device is detected in Device Manager.
- Hardware Testing:
- I tested the system with known working speakers and headphones, but no sound is produced.
- I, confirming the issue is with the onboard audio.
- System Reinstallation:
- I performed a clean installation of Windows (latest version), followed by driver installation, but the issue persists.
- I booted into a Linux live environment, and the onboard audio was also not detected.
Given that the problem started after a failed BIOS flash, I suspect the audio chip or firmware might have been affected.
Could you please advise if there is a way to re-flash or repair the BIOS to restore the audio functionality? If the issue cannot be resolved, I would like to know how to proceed with a warranty claim for repair or replacement.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Karmine
