OK dont know this will help anyoe

been having one or two probs using the Audiology 2 on my K8T Neo :angryfire: so was fiddling with some things ..

i found that the card was in pci slot 5 .. so remembering some old tricks from past pc's i moved it too slot 3 where most vendors recommend it should be & increased the pci latency to 96

results have been no more lock-ups or freezes in the past several hours .. so if ur having probs and u put the audiology in slot 5 or close to another card .. u could try moving it allowing for more air flow as well

hope that helps some poeple .. if not .. hope u get ur dream machines 100% soon

some additional information i just come across

quoted from a creative labs rep

the audiology cards have specific problems with the new extended irq systems when they are assigned an IRQ greater than 15

my possible solutions

1 disable ( not sure of name .. APIC or ACPI ) the enhanced IRQ table

2 manually assign the IRQ for the pci slot the card is in to one below 15 and hope windows doesnt reassign it

not tried it myself as i removed my audiology2 card and using onboard sound at moment in xp64

If you have an Audigy2 don't use anything todo with realtek, i dont know if its documented but everytime i install a realtek driver my audigy decides to start crashing my computer  So i had to buy US Robotics, which im very happy with cos it seems much faster anyways :))
