This is a warning for everyone. I have been a fan of MSI products until now. There customer service is terrible. I have the MSI Mag Coreliquid 360R and I purchased it right when these were first released back in November 2020 and there is a recall on these because the manufacturing screwed up and didnt clean them before filling them so they are clogging up and failing. My problem is that i never really used my desktop until this year when i started to have all online classes. Now its acting exactly like the recal. Temps higher at idle, really high when watching a youtube video and over 100c when gaming (wont do that).

I reached out to MSI and told them that its saying my serial isnt apart of the recall eventhough i have the same issues as the recall. They had me fill out an RMA form, that form said that my serial was invalid but i submitted it anyways. They approved it. I reached out again because of the fact that my serial was invalid and that the RMA processes is telling me I must ship it back myself (no prepaid label) and wait until its fixed to get another one YET the recall website claims that you get one shipped to you another with a prepaid label to send it back. I have online clases and i cant afford to loose my PC for that long. I used MSI messaging to inform them of this and i also asked them to recheck my serial a couple times to see if it shows valid on their end since it popped up as invalid in the RMA process and they kept replying that i was not apart of the recall NEVER actually answering my question about why it showed up as invalid. I could literally type 1 single number into the recall check and it will still say "Not eligible" which is stupid because it should said not a valid serial so you at least know if its working correctly or not. This makes me wonder how many others are screwed simplly because MSI doesnt keep proper track of their serial numbers. If it appears as invalid on the RMA process then of course it would fail this website check.

I've decided not to ship it back. I'm not paying $40 to ship this back just to wait 6 - 8 weeks to get it fixed while I should be elligable for the recall. There warranty service is the WORST. I plan to buy another one here soon from someone else after this experience and now it looks like I'll never buy another MSI product again because of their warranty requirements. We should not have to pay for shipping and there should be a replacement program (using a deposit) because computers cant run without its main components. This is what i get for buying a new untested product shortly after it was released and expecting to be apart of the recall. Ive read alot of people who dont qualify online that also purchased from AMAZON. Starting to see a pattern where the serials sent to MSI seem to all be excluded. Done on purpose.. Makes you wonder.

Bought another brand, works perfectly and cools to 35c. Once my MSI mag board goes I'll never own another MSI product again. If you have a failed item that needs warranty work, the buyer should never pay return shipping. Thats called being a Scam company.

not the case in other country's. in the UK returns are free and mine was picked up the same day, and a brand new replacement was issued and received 2 weeks later, and that was coming from the other side of Europe, so your experience is not typical of MSI.

It all does, unfortunately, depend much on the region you are in and if you go through MSI or retailer/distributor for RMA.
