So you were 100% correct but I had no clue what UEFI BIOS and CSM BIOS was. I removed memory stick and did clear cmos. AN HOUR into constant reboots, i stumbled upon that bios option under the WINDOWS OS category. I selected CSM instead of UEFI and FINALLLYYY i booted into windows.

Also, my clear cmos jumper wasn't working (I think?) so finally i removed the battery and the cmos for sure cleared (i think?)

anyways, i finally have it running yikes, i thought it would take 15 minutes
Mind telling me how the 5900x is working? I was told by a lot of people that VRMs on b350 tomahawk aren't good enough to support 5900x, but im very stubborn and wanna make it work xd

also, any issues with USB ports?

if it's not supported it shouldn't be even listed on the support list, but yes you may not getting the whole performance from it on this mobo

Hi guys
I have a B350 PC MATE. Once I discovered the BIOS release I bought a 5800x to replace a 2600
It works perfectly and I'm really happy :-). This motherboard started working with a 1st generazione Ryzen 3 and now I have a "near" high end CPU

Be careful to update the chipset drivers before replacing the CPU. I didn't do it and on the first boot only one USB worked. Luckly I was able to update by only using keyboard

BIOS update not working on my b350 tomahawk for my 5900x

I can get to the bios screen but nothing past that. I cannot boot into windows, the screen turns off upon rebooting. However, if I hit ctrl-alt-del the computer will reboot, so its not completely frozen.... will need to wait for bios to get out of beta.
I upgradet from a 1600 to a 5700x on my msi b350 tomahawk arctic, it works great, exept that my back usb 3.1 ports are not working (msi is apparently working on a bios Update allready). But the Performance increase is just amazing. Also Upgradet my gtx 1070 to a rtx 3070 + a samsung evo 970 plus. I'm good for the next 4 years

using the beta bios that updates aegea to ....07

be sure to clear cmos when you change CPUS. also, my biggest issue was booting, something to do UEFI BIOS and CSM BIOS. I don't think it has to do with this bios version specifically, but rather general changes to MB setups.

Older BIOS use to Defaults to CSM but all the newer BIOS defaults to UEFI so a lot of x370 and B350 will have a CSM Windows install unless user change the BIOS to UEFI before they did the installation.

are we going to also get official bios instead of the beta ones once everything is fixed and stable?

oof, sorry, i was a bit drunk and completely butchered the sentence :D what i meant to write is
"are we going to also get official bios instead of the beta ones once everything is fixed and stable?"
It will most likely stay as a Beta like the B450 and X470 non Max do but it is the same as a non Beta version I think most Board manufactures seem do the same.

that's fair, it's just that the MSI beta bios has fewer options and worse overall experience in terms of setting up fan control and similar stuff compared to official bios

That is more to do with having to strip the bios to make it fit on the 16MB chip it went from Click to Click Lite.

I noticed that in the bios settings I got PBO with my 5700x and b350 tomahawk arctic.
It is set to Auto at the Moment, I get a few options I can Select. Can I get some Performance If I chose something in this list wille keeping the temps in a good Spot.? Im getting about 75 degrees on the package wille gaming at the Moment.
Thanks for your advice

Go in to BIOS OC setting and set PBO to Advanced and set up Curver Optimizer for a Negative offset of -25 all cores.
