Looking for some help as the MSI Support Email hasn't provided much assistance.

I am currently on 7B85v1G and cannot for the life of me get it to update beyond it.

I've updated in the past (to 1G) using the same USB etc, so it's not the method or USB being wrong.

CPU is 5800X3D

Methods tried:

- Tried reformatting and repartitioning 3 separate USB's using RUFUS, also ensuring MPT format & FAT32. Yes I extracted the files.

- Tried clearing CMOS via JBAT1 short

- Tried using BIOS button method (MSI.ROM), LED flashed 3 times (unable to find file)

- Tried putting all bios files beyond 1G on the drive individually & together, it will find the folder name but not the bios file

Wits end as I now can't play a few games due to failing attestation status.

Any suggestions or similar experiences welcome!

This is a hint that you might be trying to flash the BIOS file for a different board model. In other words, it's not matching the name of your currently installed BIOS, including the first character after the dot. If it doesn't match, then it won't be shown in M-Flash, due to a filename filter. You have to find the correct BIOS for your board, matching the existing name.

If we look here: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-AC/support

The latest BIOS there is 7B85v1H8, with BIOS filename E7B85AMS.1H8. This should be ok to update to from E7B85AMS.1G0, since the names are identical until and including the first character after the dot. But you now have to confirm in your main BIOS screen, that the version shown on the top right is really E7B85AMS.1G0. Only then can files named E7B85AMS.1xx be visible in M-Flash.

Did you flash to the latest BIOS E7B85AMS.1H8?
If yes, try to run M-FLASH again and check if it finds the BIOS files.
If the latest BIOS still couldn't find the BIOS files in M-FLASH, there might be something wrong with the USB drive or the files.

Any suggestions or similar experiences welcome!
Make sure Windows is not blocking the file
